For 12 years, Serbian Orthodox singers, led by Marko Kačarević, have been working to preserve Serbian traditional music, where they have created large projects and thus distinguished themselves as responsible people who are proud of their heritage. The founder and creator of the choir, Marko Kačarević, decided to take another step forward and improve his previous work by launching the first internet radio of Serbian traditional music.
The world is advancing in the technological sense, but culture is being neglected, which is one of the reasons for putting this format into operation. If someone wants to know something about Serbian culture, to love it, there must be an option for that. We are looking forward to being among the first in this, and to give an example to younger generations of how to love and be proud of their cultural heritage.
A Serb does not exist without his religion and culture; without that, in our opinion, he cannot be a Serb. There is an intention to break the spirit of our ancestors, by giving us false informations and imposing on other people's culture, in order to destroy our beautiful country,to humiliate the honest and moral people of that time who should be an example in love and sacrifice, so that others would recognize and respect us by deeds and beauty of heritage.
The radio will contain spiritual, historical and traditional values - music by all performers and topics related to our Serbia, announcements of cultural events (concerts, plays, manifestations, exhibitions, lectures, children's programs) from all Serbian cities.
The internet radio called DESPOT SRPSKI will be dedicated to a very important person, the founder of Belgrade, the Holy Despot Stefan Lazarević.
In this way, we want the Despot to be known and celebrated all over the world, as a knight, a Serb, an Orthodox, a poet, a statesman...
